64 | Parks Info: 402-471-0641 S itting at the gateway to the Missouri National Recreational River, 2 miles north of the town of Ponca, this picturesque 2,100-acre park offers outdoor recreation for the entire family. The Missouri River National Recreational River Resource and Education Center houses the park offices, gift shop, nature program area and interpretive display/exhibit area. Also at the Center is a conference facility including a full kitchen that can hold up to 275 or be subdivided into separate rooms for smaller events. There are 13 four-bedroom mini-lodges, two six-bedroom mini-lodges, 10 modern two-bedroom cottages, and two two-bedroom straw bale "green" cabins available year-round and four rustic two-bedroom cabins available April-November. The modern campgrounds have Electric Plus, Electric and Basic camping. Other facilities and activities include modern restroom/showers, water, dump-and-fill station, kayak programs, outdoor aquatic center, boat ramp, canoe/kayak access to the Missouri River, playgrounds, special events, outdoor education programs, shelters, picnic tables, hike/bike trails and the Eric Weibe Shooting Complex. Fishing is available in the Missouri River and the pond located at the Center, which includes a wheelchair-accessible deck and is stocked with trout twice a year.
