RECREATION From hiking, shooting range, biking, spray park and paddleboats, to tennis, volleyball, horseback trail rides and naturalist and outdoor/environmental education programs, the park offers a vast array of recreation for the whole family. Owen Landing has snacks, ice cream, souvenirs, paddleboat rental and recreational equipment available. A canoe and kayak access point on Decker Creek is a great place to stop on the Platte River water trail between Schramm Park and Louisville SRA. LODGING Platte River State Park provides an array of accommodations, with the most unique being the three glamping cabins that offer a peaceful, private and nature-immersive experience in a modern cabin. Each sleeps two in a queen bed, which can roll onto the deck, where visitors can sleep under the stars. Guests will also enjoy the two year-round mini lodges featuring all the comforts of home. They offer four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen, fireplace and more. There are also 21 modern, fully-equipped, one to four-bedroom modern cabins, which have bathroom and shower, kitchens with eating and cooking utensils. Four have fireplaces. The modern cabins are open year-round with heat and air conditioning. The affordable camper-cabins are arranged in pods with four to six cabins sharing showers, restrooms, water and washing facilities. They are furnished with refrigerators, bed linens, towels and soap. Most have air conditioning and heat. Visitors here can even stay in a tipi village.
