Nebraska Statewide Comprehensive
Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP): SCORP
is a resource for Nebraska communities and
recreation professionals planning for outdoor
recreation. SCORP evaluates the supply and
demand for outdoor recreation opportunities
and summarizes state and regional
demographics. It also provides guidance on
future development of park lands through the
goals and Land and Water Conservation fund

Nebraska Trails Foundation: Incorporated in
1989, the Nebraska Trails Foundation exists to
develop multi-use trails throughout Nebraska
resulting in healthier lives, natural green space

Recreational Trails Program Database: This is a
database of almost every RTP project completed
since the program's inception. It is a great
tool to use to see what trail projects are being
funded in Nebraska. Also, you can use this tool
to help give you a rough idea of what a project
will cost based on similar scopes of work from

Trails Have Our Respect: T.H.O.R.s mission is
to create and share the natural surface trail
experience in Eastern Nebraska and Western
Iowa through advocacy, education, and the
building of sustainable and accessible trails.

Tread Lightly: A non-profit organization that
leads a national initiative to promote the
responsible use of motorized vehicles when
recreating outdoors. Their goal is to balance the
off-road and off-highway vehicle (OHV) users'
need of adventure with the need to conserve
