56 2026–2030 SCORP PEOPLE OF NEBRASKA Statewide The 2020 census reported the population of Nebraska to be 1,961,504. This is an increase of more than 4% since the previous SCORP. The population remains split almost exactly in half between males and females, which is consistent throughout all seven regions. Nebraskans are getting older, becoming more ethnically diverse, and are more concentrated in the Metro region than reported in the previous SCORP.
