State Park Pools to Stay Open Through Labor Day

LINCOLN – Public pools at five Nebraska state parks will remain open through Labor Day on Sept. 5, offering visitors extended summer fun.

Pool hours are as follows:

Chadron State Park – Open Aug. 28 from 1-3 p.m. and from 1-6 p.m. on Sept. 3-5. Pool admission is free Aug. 28.

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park – Open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-8 p.m. On weekends and on Labor Day, the pool will be open from noon-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Fort Robinson State Park – Open daily from 1-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m., closing on Sept. 4.

Niobrara State Park – Open on weekends and Labor Day from 1-6 p.m.

Platte River State Park – Open on weekends and Labor Day from 1-7 p.m.

Ponca State Park – Open from noon-6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. On Sept. 4-5, the pool is open from 1-5 p.m.

A park entry permit is required.
