Fish and Fowl

Going to be “outta the office” for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Nope, not going to be the usual holiday.  Nothing else has been “normal” this year, why would it be any different for Thanksgiving?

However, one thing has NOT changed, and that is we have A LOT for which to be thankful!  Freedom, this beautiful state we call home, time spent outdoors, friends and family, health, food on the table, a roof over our heads.  Maybe we should all appreciate those thing just a little bit more this year?  Even toilet paper?

You will not find an exact menu for the “first Thanksgiving”.  We do know that the bounty of the land was the center of that original Thanksgiving feast.  A turkey or turkeys may have been part of that bounty, but they were not specifically listed.  We do know this, fish and fowl were part of the first Thanksgiving.

Still are!

Fish and fowl are often parts of my Thanksgiving holiday!  Hoping to continue that tradition again this year!

We still know that spending time outdoors is one of the best things you can do during this pandemic.  You may not be able to do it with friends and family as you have before, but you should still spend as much time outdoors as possible.  Keeping traditions alive as much as possible is important, so is hope that things will get better, and so is being thankful!

Have a great holiday!
