Enjoy Events in June at Niobrara State Park

LINCOLN – Throughout June, Niobrara State Park will hold a variety of family-friendly events for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.

Scheduled events are:

• June 11, National Park Service Special Event: Children will participate in interactive activities at an educational trailer.

• June 17, National Park Service presents “Life on the Missouri:” Learn more about the historic people and river craft of North America’s longest river.

• June 18, Buffalo Cookout: The meal will be served at 6 p.m. at the Buffalo Cookout Pavilion. Cost is $12 for ages 13 and older, and $8 for children. Reservations are required.

• June 19, 7th Annual Father’s Day Fishing Tournament: Prizes will be awarded for biggest fish and most fish caught. Loaner fishing poles will be available.

Niobrara SP is located west of Niobrara in Knox County. A park entry permit is required. For more information, call 402-857-3373.
