Rose Creek WMA Mausoleum

In the earlier 1900's, a Fairbury, NE man (Nelson McDowell) spent a decade chiseling out a two room mausoleum in a sandstone bluff. This feature can be found along the banks of a Jefferson County creek. The oddity exists on today's Rose Creek Wildlife Management area southwest of Fairbury.
