Vintage Fishing

You know, the more things change, the more they stay the same.  I found this old fishing video, no, I am not in it:

#HauteBook team is gone fishing this weekend. Of course, we are taking #BusterKeaton with us. Just to have some fun adventure. Have a great weekend ! 😀😀

Good humor has an element of truth to it.

Looks like the rivers and streams flowed high back then too.

Wade in over the top of my waders?  Yep, been there, done that.  Kept right on fishing too–the fish were biting!

The funniest part is I have seen a rookie fishing in high waves, over-top his waders, and then go to shore and lift his legs up to drain the water out.  He did not stand on his head, but he would lay on his back with his feet up-hill, and then do leg-lifts.  It was hilarious every time he did it.  His reels were full of sand too.  Again no, that nimrod was not me.

However, I did hook myself in the ear once.  Dad did pocket-knife surgery on site, so I could get back to fishing.

Have a good weekend, don’t forget to check the depth of the water, and duck when I am casting.
