Growing season burn workshops scheduled in August

LINCOLN, Neb. – Four free workshops on the use of growing season burns are scheduled across Nebraska in August.

Each workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include lunch, live burn demonstration, and interactive discussion on summer burns.

The workshops will be held Aug. 9 near Odessa, Aug. 14 at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center near Denton, Aug. 16 near Hartington, and Aug. 28 near Wisner.

Nebraska Pheasants Forever, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Nebraska Environmental Trust, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency, and Nebraska Prescribed Fire Council are presenting the workshops.
