Game and Parks expands youth archery offering with YMCA partnership

October 13, 2022 Jerry Kane

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is teaming up with the YMCA of Lincoln to expand archery offerings available to youth in Lincoln and Lancaster County.

Beginning with a winter clinic and extending into summer leagues, this partnership will assist Game and Parks in offering archery to every family in the community.

Game and Parks’ Nebraska Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln will host all YMCA archery activities, which begins with the winter clinic on five consecutive Sundays starting Nov. 13. Sessions will be offered at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

This clinic will teach the fundamentals of archery and include fun competition. Equipment and instruction will be provided via the Outdoor Education Center with the YMCA’s administration. Learn more at ymcalincoln.org/programs/sports/archery-clinic.

Game and Parks currently offers archery programs with its indoor and outdoor ranges at the Outdoor Education Center, located at 4703 N. 44th St. Learn more at calendar.outdoornebraska.gov; filter by “archery” tag or venue.
