LINCOLN, Neb. – A brush pile of storm-damaged trees will be burned at Mormon Island State Recreation Area in Hall County on Jan. 22.

The burn, which will begin at about 7 a.m., will eliminate fuels and small predator habitat and keep the area open for continued tree management.
