NORTH PLATTE, Neb. –  The 26 annual Ash Hollow Historical Pageant at Ash Hollow State Historical Park (SHP) will be on stage Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, giving park visitors a glimpse back in time with live performances of The Great Cowboy Race; Chadron to Chicago a celebration of the pioneer spirit.

The event has a regional cast and band of lively volunteers that will tell a panhandle story of endurance, horses, horsemanship, and the great western cowboy, which is different than past performances of the Oregon, Mormon and California trail journey.

Start the evening off with a Chuck Wagon Supper of roast beef sandwiches, beans, cabbage salad and fry bread at 5 p.m. MT followed by the pageant performance outside at the base of the Ash Hollow bluffs at 6:30 p.m. MT. Supper is $10 for adults and $6 for children. The performances are free. Visitors should bring blankets or folding chairs to enjoy the evening on the Mormon Trail.
