Chemical renovation of fish population to improve sportfish populations. c. Develop access agreement with adjacent landowner west of North Twin Lake for the fish barrier placement. d. Place fish barrier on NGPC property south of South Twin Lake. Ownership: NGPC Potential Partners: NGPC Wildlife Division, adjacent private landowners. Willow Creek Reservoir SRA (Pierce County) Willow Creek is 700 acres and the third largest reservoir in the Northeast District. Constructed in 1983, the reservoir has aged as sediment, loss of large woody debris and brush piles, and reduced water quality have severely impacted the aquatic habitat and overall fishery. The overall goal is to improve the littoral habitat with stabilized and protected shorelines. An additional goal is to improve deeper water habitat in bays impacted by sedimentation and develop both shoreline and boating access sites. Goals: Habitat, Access Tasks: a. Install offshore breakwaters to reduce shoreline erosion and improve littoral habitat. b. Excavate four bays with associated breakwater jetties to improve deep water habitat. c. Log pile construction throughout the lake to improve aquatic habitat structure within the lake basin. d. Maintain boat ramp facilities to improve access for launching. e. Improve shoreline access with bump outs, jetties and docks. Ownership: Lower Elkhorn NRD Potential Partners: NGPC Parks Division, Lower Elkhorn NRD, Pierce County
