OUR STRATEGY
We believe Time Outdoors is Time Well Spent. The Nebraska Game and Parks
Commission protects and manages natural resources throughout the state to
ensure future generations have opportunities to enjoy the natural world.
The Game and Parks Planning and Development Division facilitated this
three-year update to the strategic plan. The strategic directions, goals, and
outcomes were modified and enhanced. These changes play into our strengths:
Our ability to find creative ways to maintain a balance of our resources, access,
stewardship and opportunities for the public and the wild spaces and wildlife
we conserve.
The Commission has many action and management plans that help us
accomplish our strategic directions. Many of these plans were created with
input from the public, including our hunters, anglers, park guests, partners
and employees. These plans help operationalize our Strategic Plan and provide
detailed aspects of the work we do. These plans guide our work and help us
prioritize our time and resources as we steward the state's natural resources for
the future.
