75 DISTRIBUTION AND ABUNDANCE The White River Crayfish is widely distributed in two separate ranges. One is down the Atlantic coast of the U.S. from Massachusetts to Georgia. The larger extends along the Gulf coast of Mexico to Georgia then northward through the Mississippi basin to the Great Lakes states of Wisconsin to Ohio. There is some question as to whether these are all the same species.
