CONSERVATION ISSUES
The rusty crayfish has proven to be an
aggressive invasive species where
introduced outside of it's native range.
It has recently been discovered in two
lakes in Omaha; Benson Park Lagoon,
a private housing development lake
(Lakeside) and the Missouri River at
Gavins Point Dam. These populations
will be watched to see how they
develop.
