Impacts on them can include loss of cover on stream margins due to overgrazing and pesticide use. On the other hand, it has proven to be an aggressive invasive species where introduced outside of its native range. Collection locations for the Calico crayfish, Orconectes immunis, in Nebraska, 1995-2010.
