Providing sustainable
conservation and
recreation programs
and services.
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS
Action steps to move Game and Parks toward accomplishing its practical
vision have been created and account for the potential barriers. These include
actions we are working on and others we want to focus on. The strategic
directions for the next three years are: providing sustainable conservation and
recreation programs and services; developing and investing in our people;
and engaging and building relevancy with the public. Strategic directions are
created to meet the practical visions. Each strategic direction has two to three
goals our team can work toward. That is the focus of the remainder of this
strategic plan.

GOAL SETTING STRATEGY
Changes in populations, climate and the landscape
require the agency be prepared to protect and build
resiliency in our lands and waters. We should provide
outdoor recreational opportunities to meet the needs
of our audiences and the capacity of our team.
Drawing on the strengths of our team, the agency will
help safeguard the opportunities to recreate in public
outdoor spaces.
