Special Access Permit Areas
DESOTO NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
Access permit is required to hunt in designated areas.

Antlerless Seasons: Dec. 15 – 18, 2023 (muzzleloader only). Hunters need access permit and statewide
muzzleloader (December hunt) or Wahoo AOSC (December or January hunt) permit and may only harvest
antlerless deer. A scout day for the weekend hunts will be allowed on the Saturday prior to the hunt week-
end during which hunters can hang stands.
Archery Season: Oct. 1, 2023 – Jan. 10, 2024. Special regulations apply. Contact the refuge at 712-388-

BOYER CHUTE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
Access permit is required to hunt in designated areas.

Antlerless Season: Dec. 9 – 17, 2023 antlerless hunt only (muzzleloader only). Hunters need access

Archery Season: Sept. 1, 2023 – Jan. 15, 2024. Antlerless only in January. Special regulations apply.

FORT NIOBRARA NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
An access permit may be required for certain seasons.
Seasons: Open to archery, youth, muzzleloader, AOSC Keya Paha and elk permit holders. Contact the
refuge office for season dates, weapons and bag limit restrictions.

GIFFORD POINT WMA
Access permit is required. Limited to 200 permits.
Seasons: Open to Archery, Youth, Muzzleloader and Wahoo AOSC permit holders, Sept. 1, 2023 – Jan. 15,
2024. Regulations relating to season dates and weapon types apply, EXCEPT muzzleloaders are allowed
only during the December muzzleloader and late firearm seasons. Muzzleloaders are not allowed during the
November firearm season. Centerfire weapons are prohibited.

Application period: Aug. 1 – 15, 2023.
FORT ROBINSON STATE PARK
Access permit is required.
Seasons: Open to all open seasons except firearm antelope. Regulations relating to season dates, bag
limits and weapon types apply. Antlerless mule deer harvest is prohibited.

in at the park office before you hunt.
