Public access allowed sunrise to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. Map Sheet 6 Ballards Marsh WMA: Cherry County, 250 acres, 20S Valentine. BLG, CAP, CRP, LMB, NOP, YEP. Boats restricted to 5 mph (no wake). Aquatic vegetation hampers summer fishing. Primitive camping. Primitive boat ramp on NW side of lake. Map Sheet 15 FFL Bessey Fish Pond: Thomas County, 3 acres, 1W, ¼S of Halsey at Nebraska National Forest. BLG, CCF, LMB, RBT, TGT. Camping. No motorized boating. Fishing deck. Rainbow trout seasonally stocked. Map Sheet 17 Big Alkali WMA: Cherry County, 842 acres, 16S, 4W, 1½S of Valentine. BLG, CAP, CCF, CRP, LMB, NOP, SAE, WAE, YEP. All boats allowed. Boat ramp, camping and fishing camp. Snowmobiles and ATVs allowed on ice. Map Sheet 15 Big Springs City Pond: Deuel County, 0.5 acres, N end of Elm Street. BLG, CCF, LMB. Map Sheet 12 Blue Creek: Garden County, NW of Lewellen. BNT, CUT, RBT, TGT. Private access, permission required. Blue Lake: Garden County, 311 acres, 22N of Oshkosh. BBH, BLG, CAP, CRP, LMB, NOP, SAE, SMB, YEP. Access via primitive 2.7-mile access trail on private property (no snow removal), open daylight hours only; no camping, hunting, ATVs, horses, fires, or littering; only four-wheel-drive vehicles allowed. Area closed to access during the nine-day November firearm deer season. Access to lake made possible through lease agreement with private landowner, so please follow the rules. Close all gates. Trespassers off marked trail and parking lot will be prosecuted. Small boats recommended. Primitive boat launch. Boats restricted to 5 mph (no wake). Private access, permission required. Bordeaux Creek: Dawes County, SE of Chadron. BKT, BNT. Public access on Big Bordeaux Creek WMA and U.S. Forest Service lands. Map Sheet 5 Box Butte Reservoir SRA: Dawes County, 1,600 acres, 10N of Hemingford. BCF, BLG, CCF, CRP, LMB, NOP, ROB, SMB, WAE, YEP. Northern pike - daily bag limit of 10, of which only three can be over 22 inches and only one of those can be over 34 inches in length. Subject to severe summer drawdown. Primitive camping and electrical hook-ups. All boats allowed with new boat ramp facility completed in 2018. Underwater spearfishing for gamefish starts June 1. All boats allowed on middle pit; other pits restricted to electric motor and non- powered boats. Rainbow trout stocked in northwest lake. Map Sheet 3 FFL A Carter P. Johnson Lake: Sioux County, 15 acres, Fort Robinson SP. BLG, CCF, CRP, LMB, RBT, ROB. Cabins and camping. Electric motor and non-powered boats allowed. Accessible pier. Map Sheet 1 FFL Chadron City Reservoirs: Dawes County, 20 acres in two ponds, 5½S of Chadron. BLG, CCF, LMB, RBT, YEP. Non-powered boats allowed.
