5 Nebraska Game and Parks Commission 2025 Annual Report As we reflect on 2025, one thing is clear: Nebraska Game and Parks is here to serve. We serve people, wildlife and the outdoor places that make Nebraska special. This annual report highlights a year of steady work focused on caring for our natural resources and helping people enjoy them safely and responsibly. Throughout the year, the agency invested in parks, recreation areas and outdoor opportunities across the state. Campgrounds, trails and facilities were improved to meet today's needs while ensuring these places remain welcoming and dependable for years to come. Whether hunting, fishing, boating, camping or simply spending time outdoors, Nebraskans and visitors continued to benefit from these investments. Caring for wildlife and habitat remained at the heart of our work. Our biologists, conservation officers, land managers and partners monitored populations, restored habitat and gathered research that helps guide decisions. These efforts support healthy fish and wildlife populations and ensure outdoor opportunities remain available for future generations. Service also means improving how we do our work. In 2025, Nebraska Game and Parks continued strengthening internal systems and customer service, making it easier for people to access information, permits and programs. These improvements help the agency remain efficient, responsive and ready to adapt as needs change. Outdoor traditions — such as hunting, fishing and park use — are deeply rooted in Nebraska's identity. Our work reflects a strong commitment to protecting those traditions while managing resources responsibly. Inside this report, you will find examples of how these efforts came together in 2025. Together, they point toward a clear path forward — one focused on stewardship, service and ensuring Nebraska's fish, wildlife and outdoor recreation resources remain healthy, accessible and meaningful for generations to come.
