Financials 39 Nebraska Game and Parks Commission 2025 Annual Report HOW WE'RE FUNDED Approximately 96% of the agency revenues were generated through user pay and federal reimbursement, and approximately 4% came from the State General Fund. Revenues from permit sales, federal grants and other sources are placed into designated funds, each of which has its revenue and spending defined by state statute. These funds include the Game Cash Fund, Park Cash Fund, General Fund and Habitat Fund, among others. 96% permits and fees paid by users; and federal reimbursement 4% Nebraska General Fund WHERE THE MONEY GOES This is how the agency's primary revenue is collected and directed into specific funds that support wildlife, parks and agency operations. By law, Game Fund and Parks Fund dollars must stay separate; revenue cannot go or be used by the other fund or its programs. Sources of revenue Authorized use State tax revenue Operations and administrative activities Camping and lodging fees, vehicle park entry permits, admissions, food services, and concessions Activities that support the state park system Hunting, fishing and trapping permits; habitat, waterfowl and aquatic habitat stamps; and federal aid reimbursements Activities that support fish, game and land and aquatic habitat Designated fund General Fund Park Fund Game Fund Habitat and Aquatic Habitat funds
