ADAPTIVE IMPLEMENTATION
At Game and Parks, we recognize the need to practice and implement
adaptive management as we work toward the goals outlined in this Strategic
Plan. We will evaluate our progress, adjust our approach and continue forward
in an ever-changing funding climate. As we implement this plan, influences
may occur outside of our control, but we will do our best to maintain forward
progress and measured growth as a team.
CONCLUSION
Nebraska Game and Parks will continue to embrace our mission to steward
the state's fish, wildlife, parks and outdoor resources. The strategic planning
process invited enhancements to the previous plan and refined our approach
going forward. The reflection of the remarkable team of experts was conveyed
through the team survey, and our customer service efforts show we are serving
the people of Nebraska in the ways they need.
This strategic plan offers the opportunity for Game and Parks to continue our
efforts in striking the balance between reflecting on how far we have come and
where the future will take us. Time outdoors is Time Well Spent, and we are up
for the challenge to uphold our legacy through our strategic directions outlined
within this document.
MEASURING PROGRESS
Annually, we will develop benchmark
metrics to show the specific
projects we are working toward to
accomplish the goals and outcomes.
Progress will be reported to the
Board of Commissioners.
