LINCOLN – Gov. Pete Ricketts has reappointed Dick Bell of Omaha to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. In addition, the governor has appointed Dan Kreitman of Ceresco to the Commission.
Bell was appointed to the Commission to represent District 2 (Douglas County) in December 2013. His reappointment is effective from Jan. 16, 2016, through Jan. 15, 2020.
“I have a keen interest in all of the work of the Commission,” Bell said. “I look forward to continuing our efforts to improve pheasant populations and pheasant hunting, and to make sure we are successful in creating the Venture Park complex that will serve our future generations of park-goers.”
Kreitman’s appointment also will be effective Jan. 16 for a four-year term. He succeeds Mark Pinkerton, of Wilber, as the representative of District 1 (southeastern Nebraska).
“I am very honored to be appointed by the Governor to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission; it has been a life-long goal,” Kreitman said. “I have always admired the work the Commission does and I am very excited to be a part of it.”
Among Kreitman’s interests in the Commission, he would like to “focus on getting our youth more active in outdoor activities with the great opportunities in Nebraska” and to continue the Commission’s efforts to improve pheasant hunting throughout the state.
