Big Game Will Be Discussed at Public Informational Meetings

LINCOLN – Hunters and landowners are invited to discuss big game issues with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission at upcoming public informational meetings across the state.

Commission biologists will explain issues and take questions on topics such as deer management, deer damage and depredation permits, antlerless harvest, trophy management, and diseases. Antelope and elk issues may be discussed at meetings located in areas where these species occur. All meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The meeting schedule is:

— Jan. 19 – Bassett, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, 524 Panzer St.

— Jan. 20 – Red Cloud, Red Cloud Community Center, 142 W. 3rd Ave.

— Jan. 20 – North Platte, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, 301 E. State Farm Road

— Jan. 25 – Norfolk, Lifelong Learning Center at the Northeast Community College, 801 Benjamin Ave.

— Jan. 27 – Denton, Denton Community Center, 7115 Lancaster Ave.

— Feb. 2 – Bridgeport, Prairie Winds Community Center, 428 N. Main St.

— Feb. 3 – Chadron, Chadron State College, Student Center, Scottsbluff Room, 1000 Main St.

— Feb. 3 – Wahoo, Lower Platte North Natural Resources District, 511 Commercial Park Road
