2017 Annual Report 9 S E N S O R Y S A F A R I A T L I N C O L N C H I L D R E N ' S Z O O Sensory Safari is a partnership between the Lincoln Children's Zoo and Game and Parks. The event, held the fi rst Wednesday in October, is an opportunity for students with physical and cognitive disabilities to engage in science and wildlife education through all their senses. There are 12 stations located throughout the zoo with each focusing on a diff erent topic, such as plants, mammals, reptiles, smells of nature and sounds of nature. Students are invited to touch, look, smell and listen while learning. Sensory Safari 2017 was the most successful year with 587 participants.
