The agency is fortunate to have dedicated,
professional staff that works hard and enjoy their
work. They strive to grow and succeed, and it is
important to provide the encouragement and
opportunities to do so. Science and technology are
continually advancing and the ability of our staff to
apply new knowledge is key to making the best
possible impacts. We recognize and are committed
to the long-term investment of resources in the
professional development of staff. The agency is
experiencing an aging work force; the loss of
institutional knowledge will be considerable. We
must prepare, train and empower the agency's
leaders of tomorrow. We must adapt recruitment
