GOAL 6: Preserve and foster appreciation of Nebraska's cultural resources. Develop nontraditional activities and invite community activities to take place on park landscapes (e.g. school history days). Provide information about state historical parks in agency communications and marketing. Explore public/private partnerships that develop amenities and share revenue. Explore partnerships to help support historical parks and expand interpretation of cultural resources. Develop new and interactive activities/events at state historical parks. Promote special and unique events that are provided to identified target audiences. Provide events and learning opportunities to attract diverse audiences. Develop operational business plans for new investments or programs. Create interactive interpretation stations within visitor centers. Partner with "friends" groups, volunteers, other agencies and organizations to assist in the management and interpretation of our cultural resources. Strive to make the historic and cultural resources we manage engaging, exciting and interactive. Incorporate technological advances to improve interpretation of the cultural resources and draw visitors to state historical parks. desired outcomes Increase in partner involvement in the conservation and development of programming in the state historical parks. Educational programs and cultural interpretation are professional designed, factual, interactive, informative and appealing to participants and educational institutions. Nebraskans are satisfied with the state historical parks' programming and operations. Established educational curriculums with educational institutions to promote student visits.
