This Year's Program April 30, May 1, 2, 2015 are the dates for the 46th Annual Cornhusker High School and Junior High School Trapshoot at the home grounds of the Nebraska Trapshooting Association in Doniphan, NE. High school events (grades 9-12) will be held on Friday and Saturday, with junior high events (grades 6-8) held on Thursday. High school competition will feature 75, 16-yard targets on Friday and 75 handicap targets on Saturday. Handicap yardage will be determined by dividing the 16-yard score by 3 and rounding up any fractions. Minimum yardage will be the 18-yard line. The junior high program consists of 100, 16-yard targets shot on Thursday, starting promptly at 9 a.m.. Two practice traps will be available Thursday only. 4-H Division Effective in 2015, the following 4-H TEAM registration documents will be required to be submitted to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, C/O Patti Lacquement by mail, 5120 NW 7th St., Lincoln, NE 68521; or email patti.dennis.2700@gmail.com; or fax 866-225-3045. Coaches from states other than Nebraska should coordinate with Patti regarding required 4-H registration documents. 1. 4-H Club Charter Certificate. If an established club's Charter Certificate has been misplaced Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will accept a signed letter from your counties UNL Extension Office, on their letter head, verifying your club's status is in good standing. 2. 2015 4-H Club Memeber Roster. Printout must include ID#, first and last name, club/organization name, and enrolled project listing. The project list must show the youth are enrolled in the 4-H Shotgun Project. 3. 2105 4-H Club Leaders Roster. Printout must include ID#, first and last name, and club/ organization name. 4-H Shotgun leaders must be an active instructor and hold 4-h certification in the shotgun discipline. Club leaders should contact their County Extention Office for this information. Remember, starting in 2015, to compete for a 4-H Team Trophy at the Cornhusker State Trapshoot, your team must be an organized and chartered 4-H Club. All 4-H team shooters must be a member of a 4-H Club and be enrolled in the Shotgun Shooting Sports Project. Award Priorities To provide awards to the greatest number of shooters, a priority schedule has been devised similar to the procedure used at the Nebraska State Registered Trapshoot. For those awards that may overlap, the following will apply: • High School Award Priorities Teams receiving a top 16-yard team award (six places) are not eligible for ladies 16-yard team awards. Teams receiving a top handicap team award (six places) are not eligible for ladies handicap team awards. Teams receiving a top overall team award (six places) are not eligible for ladies or overall team awards. Note: Teams may only claim one trophy or medal per team event. For example, if a team score was high enough to either place 4th, 5th, or 6th in the 16-yard competition or the top three in the ladies 16-yard competition, that team would have to choose which award they wanted to receive. Individuals winning a top three trophy in the 16-yard event are not eligible for a top three ladies trophy in the 16-yard event. Individuals winning a top three trophy in the handicap event are not eligible for a top three ladies trophy in the handicap event or any of the yardage awards. Individuals winning a top three overall trophy are not eligible for a top three ladies overall trophy. • Junior High Award Priorities Individuals winning a top three trophy are not eligible for a top three ladies trophy. Teams receiving a top overall team award (six places) are not eligible for ladies or overall team awards. Awards More than 100 awards and prizes plus 292 medals will be presented over three days. Shoot-off Jr. & Sr. All Individual Awards: First 3 places, individual shoot-off, targets determined by Shoot Director. Fourth place and above, long run from front by sub-event starting with sub-event number 1. Jr. & Sr. Team Awards 16-yard and HDC: First 3 places, team shoot-off, 2 per post. 4th place and above, total team score by sub-event (25 targets) starting with sub-event number 1. 10
