Our strategic plan
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's 2022-2025 strategic plan, Focus on the Future, has three
strategic directions for ensuring the future of Nebraska's wildlife and wild places. We are in our third year of
implementation.
Our strategic plan focuses on three key areas:

Caring for our resources: We emphasize sustainable management of fi sh and wildlife, ensuring the
continuation of Nebraska's rich biodiversity.

Developing our team: We're committed to fostering a passionate, engaged workforce dedicated to our
mission.
•
Engaging with and serving the public: By off ering a wide range of public events and educational
programs, we aim to connect people with nature and promote active stewardship of our natural
environments.
Park users help pay for the ongoing
costs to run our state parks and
recreation areas through the
purchase of park entry permits.
