The camera provides a unique, close-up look as the adult Ospreys incubate the eggs and feed the young, and the nestling grows, and eventually fledges. • The Nebraska Birding Bowl is a new statewide birding event that encourages people to enjoy the birds around them during Nebraska Bird Month (May). This first year had 270 participants that included youth and adults that ranged in skill levels, from beginning birders to seasoned experts. The event connected families to the birds in their backyards and brought friends together to search for birds in local parks. Together, participants observed more than 280 species. Additionally, the event helped raise funds and awareness for the Wildlife Conservation Fund. The Wildlife Conservation Fund continues to create new wildlife-viewing opportunities that connect people to nature and, in turn, foster stewardship and support for wildlife and habitat conservation. To show your support for wildlife conservation efforts like those highlighted in this newsletter, consider purchasing a Nebraska Wildlife Conservation Fund license plate online at dmv.nebraska.gov/services. 4 2023-143436-TR-11/28/2023 Front left- pocket-print of shirt Continued from page 7 Do Something Wild!
