ottonwood Lake SRA, located off U.S. Highway
20 at Merriman, features a 60-acre Sandhills
lake and is ideally located for visitors to Bowring
Ranch SHP. The 240-acre area has Basic and
Primitive campsites. Facilities include: boat
ramp, water, primitive restrooms, picnic tables,
shelters and playground.
FISHING
The lake holds black crappie, bluegill, northern
pike and largemouth bass. It becomes heavily
vegetated late in the summer, making fishing
difficult.
