odging is available year-round at Eugene T.
Mahoney, Platte River, Niobrara, Ponca and
Chadron state parks and Lewis and Clark State
Recreation Area. Cabins at other areas are
generally open from mid-April to mid-November.
At Two Rivers SRA's Caboose Park, cabooses are
available from mid-April to September. Modern
camping is available May to mid-October, longer if
weather permits. Camping is available year-round
with reduced amenities, as some shower houses
and dump-and-fill station facilities are closed for
the winter.
MAKING RESERVATIONS
Lodging and camping reservations are available in
advance at OutdoorNebraska.gov or by calling
402-471-1414 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, Monday-
Friday (closed on holidays). During peak season,
a two-night minimum stay is required. During the
non-peak season, one-night stays are accepted for
Sundays through Thursdays at most locations.
Reservations carry a fee for each unit in addition
to the regular lodging and camping fee. Cabin
check-in time is 4 p.m. and checkout time is 11
a.m. (except at Fort Robinson State Park, where
check-in time is 5 p.m. and check-out time is 10
a.m.) Camping check-in time is 4 p.m. and checkout
time is 2 p.m.
Park areas marked with an * on pages 6 and 7
accept reservations.
Camping at all other areas is available on a
first-come, first-served basis. Stays are limited
to 14 consecutive days in a 30-day period.
Campsites must be vacated by the time posted
unless you re-register.
Group picnic shelters may be reserved in advance
for a daily fee, payable prior to using the facility.
Group shelters may be reserved at Chadron,
Fort Robinson, Indian Cave, Eugene T. Mahoney,
Niobrara, Platte River, Ponca and Smith Falls state
parks; Rock Creek Station State Historical Park;
Lewis and Clark, Lake Minatare, Calamus, Victoria
Springs, Branched Oak, Louisville and Fort Kearny
state recreation areas.
Conference, meeting or group facilities may be
reserved at Fort Robinson, Chadron, Platte River,
Eugene T. Mahoney, Niobrara and Ponca state
parks, and Fremont and Lake McConaughy state
recreation areas.

Nebraska State Parks" pamphlet.
PARK PERMIT REQUIRED
A valid Nebraska park entry permit is required
year-round for all motor vehicles entering any state
park, state historical park or state recreation
area, except Arbor Lodge and Schramm Education
Center. Annual, duplicate and daily permits are
available wherever hunting and fishing permits
are sold, from any Commission office, at staffed
state park areas and at OutdoorNebraska.gov. For
vehicles not registered and licensed in Nebraska,
