ntique windmills gave this park its name.
Today, Windmill SRA is one of the jewels
of the unique chain of lakes along Interstate 80.
This charming 167-acre lake SRA is located along
I-80 at the Gibbon exit.
Facilities include: campground with Electric
Plus, Electric and Basic sites, showers, modern
restrooms, dump-and-fill station, water, picnic
tables, grills, shelters, unsupervised swimming
beach and electric motor boating, and a 1.5-mile
hiking/walking trail.
FISHING
Windmill SRA's six lakes offer anglers everything
from largemouth bass, bluegill, rock bass, crappie
and channel catfish to seasonally-stocked rainbow
trout in Lake 2.
Windmill SRA offers a public archery range that
consists of six shooting lanes at targets from 20
yards - 60 yards. Users need to bring their own
archery equipment and targets are for field points
only. Range is open from sunrise to sunset.
