PAWNEE SRA
About 15 minutes west of Lincoln, Pawnee SRA
is 2 miles north and 1½ miles west of Emerald off
of U.S. 6, and has a 740-acre lake on 2,544 total
acres. There are Electric Plus, Electric and Basic
campsites, restrooms, showers, drinking water,
dump-and-fill station, two unsupervised swimming
beaches, a fish-cleaning station, and several miles
of multiuse trails. Excellent for hunting (in season)
and other fall/winter activities.
FISHING
Offers fishing for crappie, channel catfish,
flathead catfish and carp.
CONESTOGA SRA
Conestoga SRA is 6 miles south of Pawnee,
located 2 miles north of Denton via S-55A.
Some 486 acres of land surround the recently
improved 230-acre lake. The campground has
Electric Plus, Electric and Basic campsites.
There is a fish-cleaning station.
FISHING
Restocked in 2018 following an Aquatic Habitat
Program project and will offer catchable bluegill,
largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish
and walleye. No live baitfish may be used or
possessed. All boats are allowed; however, there is
a no wake 5 mph speed limit.
