There are three lakes located in the
SRA. The West Lake (42 acres) and
Middle Lake (20 acres) both provide
excellent shoreline access and are
conveniently located near the modern
RV campgrounds. The East Lake (35
acres) is only accessible by foot and has
poor shoreline access.
Fish species: West lake – Largemouth
bass, bluegill, channel catfi sh,
common carp, crappie, muskellunge,
walleye, yellow perch; Middle lake –
Largemouth bass, bluegill, channel
catfi sh, crappie, redear sunfi sh; East
lake – largemouth bass, bluegill,
common carp, crappie.
Amenities: Fishing pier (West Lake),
concrete boat ramps (Middle and West
Lakes), modern restrooms.
Directions: From Exit 312 at Grand
Island, go north a short distance on
Highway 281 to the fi rst right turn into
the park.

Grand Island Eastbound
Rest Area
There is a 6-acre lake on the west
end of this NDOT rest area open to
fi shing. Camping and boating are
prohibited.
Fish species: Largemouth bass,
bluegill, channel catfi sh.
Amenities: Modern restrooms.
Directions: From Exit 312 at Grand
Island, go 3 miles east on I-80 to the
rest area.
