GUIDE TO NEBRASKA'S WETLANDS
Conservation Success Stories
In 2003, the Saline Wetlands Conservation
Partnership was formed. This is a partnership among
the City of Lincoln, Lower Platte South Natural
Resources District, Pheasants Forever, the Nebraska
Game and Parks Commission, and others to protect
and conserve Eastern Saline wetlands (SWCP 2018).
Since its inception, over 2,400 acres of land containing
saline wetlands have been conserved through efforts
of the partnership. Many of these areas have been
restored, and all are open to public use and education.
