INFORMATION Average size: • Average adult size is 4–8 inches. Can grow up to 12 inches. A master angler is 13 inches or 1.25 lbs. The state record yellow perch weighed in at 2 lbs. 10.75 oz. Habitat: • Prefers cool and clear water of lakes and ponds but can tolerate variable conditions. • Often found near structure, especially submerged vegetation.
