Rates of Nebraska
Recreation by Activity
The activities in which people participate are
critical to understanding demand, along with
how often people are participating in recreation
activities. Therefore, within the general Nebraska
Survey, NGPC partitioned the types of activities
people used at a local or state park in 2018 into four
categories: water-based, land-based, snow-based,
and recreational sports.
The rates of different types of recreation activities
are highlighted in Tables 4.2 and 4.3 throughout
the state. Communities should consider evaluating
their current recreation offerings and determine
if the activities in these tables are something that
would benefit their constituents.

service or amenity.
