WHAT IS THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?
»
There are endless ways to develop a natural playscape;
including everything from a simple grouping of rocks, to
landscapes of interesting plants, to an elaborate series of nets
and log climbers nestled into the woods. Ask yourself what
unique features you want included in your playscape.

There is no wrong approach
and each natural playscape
will be unique according to
the location, your vision, the

THINK LIKE A KID
Once a vision has been defined,
the fun of making it a reality can
begin. One of the easiest ways
to start is to ask yourself: "What
did I do outside when I was a
kid?" Natural playscapes can be
as simple as providing a natural
space and allowing a child to
take it from there, or it can be
so much more! Trusting the
inherent play value of nature is
a great first step.
