OutdoorNebraska.org | 9 NEBRASKA HABITAT STAMP This stamp is valid statewide and required of all hunters in Nebraska, except residents younger than 16 years of age and residents who hold veteran or 69-or-older senior permits. EXCEPTION: Farmers, ranchers and qualifying family members who hunt with a landowner permit on land they own or lease for agricultural purposes are exempt. One stamp is required for all hunting in a calendar year, but January deer hunters may use the previous year's stamp. HOW MANY PERMITS MAY I HAVE? Deer – No one may have more than two permits that allow the harvest of an adult buck. There is no limit to the number of antlerless permits a person may buy. Antelope – No one may have more than one permit per year. Elk – No more than one a year. General Cow permits: No more than one in five years. General Bull permits: No more than one in five years; harvest limit of one bull in a lifetime. Super Tags and Auction elk permits are exempt. Landowner Cow permits: No more than one a year. Landowner Bull permits: No more than one in three years. RESIDENCY QUALIFICATIONS The requirements to qualify as a Nebraska resident to buy a hunting permit: • Reside in Nebraska continuously for at least 30 days before making application for a permit and intend to become a Nebraska resident. • Residents in school in another state or stationed outside Nebraska as part of a military assignment that have maintained Nebraska as their state of legal residency. • Active-duty military personnel and full-time students stationed or attending school in Nebraska for a period of at least 30 days. NOTE: A new resident should be prepared to provide documentation of residency (driver's license, voter registration, etc.) to an officer when in possession of a permit. MULTISPECIES LOTTERY PERMITS These permits are exempt from big game permit limits. Super Tag (antelope, deer, turkey, elk) – Permit valid in 2019 and 2020 for one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys (only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring). The permit is valid in open seasons with the appropriate weapons. • Number of Permits Authorized – One permit is authorized for residents only, and one permit is authorized for residents/nonresidents. Persons may apply for the residents-only permit through a single entry per year. Persons may apply for the resident/nonresident permit through multiple entries per year. Winners require a Habitat Stamp. Combo (antelope, deer, turkey) – Permit valid in 2019 and 2020 for one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys (only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring). The permit is valid in open seasons with the appropriate weapons. • Number of Permits Authorized – One permit is authorized for residents only, and one permit is authorized for nonresidents only. Points will be accumulated until the applicant is awarded a permit in a Draw unit, at which time points will be removed.
