Unless you live under some kind of big rock, you know that this weekend is the “super bowl”.  This year Minneapolis is hosting this great American event.   In conjunction with the big game, Rapala and a Minneapolis TV station are hosting a promotional event like you have never seen before!

WCCO Presents: The MinneCentric Experience

How many of you can say you've caught a fish on the third floor of a downtown Minneapolis building? WCCO's got our lines ready at our MinneCentric Experience, right in the heart of the Super Bowl celebrations!

If you want to read more about it, here is the press release, NR.WCCO and Rapala Minnecentric Experience_012618.

It sounds like a hoot, but I am wondering if somewhere there is not a poor ole fisheries biologist wondering how to get a bunch of live fish to a roof top!  And then keep ’em alive!

Yep, I was right!

The Making Of WCCO's #MinneCentric Experience

Real fish, real bait, right on our rooftop. So how did we do it? Take a look behind the scenes of #FishingForACES and the #MinneCentric Experience.

Here is the website if you want to learn some more, and laugh some more at Minnesotans, CBSLocal Minnecentric Experience.

Of course there is a FaceBook page, check in and see if the fish are biting, WCCO TV FaceBook.

OK, I know the whole thing is “Minnecentric”, but anything that promotes ice-fishing and the ice-fishing lifestyle is alright in my book.  And, if you want, enter the Rapala Sweepstakes being done in conjunction with this whole event.  Win some ice gear, it ain’t just for Minnesotans!

Besides, I know a bunch of dem Minnesotans, eh, that come down to Neeebraska for a little ice vacation in da winter, don’y ya know?

You betcha!
